Thermomix Has a Drawback

How surprised are you to read above statement I made after a few days of using the machine? Thermomix and a drawback sounds ridiculous, but in one moment I'll explain everything. The fault I have in mind is not that obvious, but you notice it pretty much straight away. I neglected the blog in the last few days and besides that I postponed a few other things that I meant to do regularly. It is hard to believe that I'm falling behind with my daily commitments and it doesn't bother me, but unfortunately I can't help it. Did you figure out yet what disadvantage I write about? Putting it in one word, it's simply "addiction." Once you cook in TM you just want more and more. I write it with full awareness and responsibility, so everyone is warned before you decide to buy it. When I open my eyes in the morning, there is only one thought spinning around my head "what will I create today with the help of Thermomix."
Some of you might think it's funny that after barely a few days of using TM I just went crazy about it, but I suppose whoever tries it will experience similar madness. It is very easy to explain though. If you are able to make a soup seasoning in just 15 seconds and it doesn't contain monosodium glutamate and other impossible to pronounce ingredients you will simply want to do more and more. Homemade Nutella was ready in less than 20 minutes, where vegetable stock took less than an hour. None of them had any additives or preservatives, never mention excess of sugar or E components. Thermomix did also great with peanuts and in 90 seconds turned them into delicious peanut butter. You can easily add your favourite spice to it and you'll get flavoured peanut butter of your choice.

Below you can see a few different things I managed to do in a short afternoon.
1. Veg stock paste 2. "Nutella" 3. Peanut butter 4. Dark chocolate sprinkles
My son who can't imagine his live without nutella and he approved the one made in TM straight away, which means it's tasty for kids and way healthier as well. Soups with veg stock paste are as delicious as the ones made with regular veg stock, and I don't have to say what stocks are made of. The dark chocolate sprinkles go perfectly with a coffee, which can also be prepared in TM.
Now think yourselves whether this kind of addiction can be a real drawback?

TM Finally Arrived!

After a few days of impatient waiting the Thermomix finally entered my kitchen. I was delighted to see a courier at my doorstep. Even the kids roared happily when they saw a big white van pulling over in front of our house. I'm just not too sure what made them happier? Was it the fact that we'll have a new kitchen appliance or maybe that their mummy won't be grumpy anymore, talking over and over again about long waiting time, which in fact wasn't long at all? I suppose, it's the second one, but I'll try my best to make them appreciate this amazing tool, and they sure will as soon as they put their hands on it.
Unfortunately, I had no time to try it out properly yet, as long awaiting guests arrived at the same time and I had to postpone the testing session. It was tempting to get them on the bus and send for a day tour around the area, but I would feel too guilty, so the Thermomix had to do a bit of waiting after all.
Now, everything is set and ready to go. Today I'm going to make a shopping list, which will get my journey with the Thrmomix started. Keep checking the blog for my first TM cooking experience, which will appear really soon, but for now check out some photos from super exiting delivery day.

Waiting in progress

It's Thursday and I supposed to get my Thermomix today. Probably you've already guessed how inpatient I am. I can't focus on many things, so I decided to do some house work to make the time pass faster, but it's quite a contrary. I peek through the window when I hear an engine noise outside with a hope to see a big delivery van. It didn't happen so far and here I am writing about my excitement.
My kids also seem to be waiting as they asked me a few times when the TM is coming. Actually, may be they just want me to stop talking about it and get to an action. I wouldn't mind it at all, but first the courier has to make his way to our direction.
While I was having my breakfast this morning, I moved a few things around my tabletops to find a perfect spot for TM and I figured it will perfectly fit to its surroundings. I did it all in my mind, so nobody thinks I'm getting crazy, but I actually feel like a child getting the lollipop for the first time.
Everything and everyone looks like is ready to welcome Thermomix here, so I only have to wait for a delivery guy.
We are going to open the TM in the next post and I hope you will enjoy it with me.

It really impresses!

They say that the first post on the blog is the hardest and then it just flows, but in my case it doesn't seem to be an issue. I know exactly what I want to say here, so probably that's the reason.
About two weeks ago I saw a presentation with Thermomix and I was absolutely impressed. I couldn't imagine one machine doing all those things that usually put you off cooking, as it takes lots of time and makes your kitchen look like after a tornado. I knew straight away that I'd love to have one sitting on my kitchen counter, but wasn't prepared for this kind of expanse. Saving the money would take some time and I'm not really patient person. I started considering becoming a Thermomix advisor, which means you get one almost straight away and you work towards it. It appeared in my dream one night. Me in the kitchen, everything spotless around, no pile of dishes in the sink and fancy dinner ready for all the family. I woke up with a smirk on my face and was almost convinced. After all the introduction it still sounded good enough, so I'm taking my chance and will be an owner of brand new Thermomix very soon. I'll keep you updated.
